Fans played huge part in Stade victory
What made last Saturday's win over Stade Francais all the more special was the Munster fans being back in full voice and 18,884 turning up.
I was covering it for beIN Sports and you could sense the atmosphere through the television. It wasn't a full house but all of the fans that were there, were there to support Munster through and through. It was such a positive atmosphere that the players fed off that.
Munster have been going through some tough times in the last couple of years. But the defeat in France was probably them at their lowest ebb.
We always talk about the Munster support and generally it has always been fantastic, and it's great to see that's still there.
Everyone knows Munster are a good team, and they had an off-day. They were very low and needed to be picked up.
Afterwards, they were thanking the fans for turning out at 11.30am to cheer the players in before the game.
It was an early start to be out and cheering on the players coming into the stadium. It's great to see that vast core support is still there for them in times of need.
