The upcoming Interprovincial fixtures for the Munster Women's team were announced earlier this week as the province look to retain their title.

The games take place in the first three weekends of December with the campaign starting with a trip to the Kingspan Stadium against Ulster on Saturday, December 3 (3.00pm).

Munster then host Connacht at Irish independent Park the following Saturday (2.30pm) before the campaign ends with an away fixture against Leinster in Donnybrook on Saturday, December 17 (2.30pm).

Head coach Wayne Falvey is in his third season at the helm of the Munster Women's team and has led the side to two Interprovincial titles.

While winning three in a row is the ultimate aim for Falvey and his side, their sole focus is on opening the campaign with a positive performance away in Ulster.

"With a lot of new faces in the squad this year, our focus is on Ulster in the first game and making sure we're set for that," says Falvey.

"There will be new faces in the squad travelling up so we need to make sure we get that performance so we can kick on then."

With a large number of Munster players involved for Ireland in the November internationals, Falvey won't be able to name his squad for the competition until next week.

But the head coach is delighted that so many of his side are reaping the rewards of their hard work with international honours.

Falvey says: "Overall we had 10 to 12 players involved for Ireland in the internationals which is fantastic to see. It is a testament to the structures put in place by Munster Rugby and how the girls have excelled over the past few seasons. We are thrilled to see the commitment and attitude of the players getting recognised and they are getting their just rewards."
