Euro pool rivals welcome return to on-field activities

If you are even remotely tuned in to the world of rugby it has been impossible to avoid chat of Munster's Pool 4 rivals Saracens.

This week's colossal Premiership fine and points deduction may not have a direct impact on their Heineken Cup season, but their failure to attend the competition's official launch this week surely will.

On the field, Saracens were 16-13 winners at home to London Irish, and they are back in action tomorrow when they travel to face Gloucester, who are Connacht's European opponents.

In France, struggling Racing 92 return to action on Sunday, with a fiery Parisian derby on the way against Stade Francais.

Racing are currently in the relegation zone having only won two of their eight games to date, while their cross-city opponents are one place worse off in the standings. Sarries and Racing meet in Paris in round one.

And Munster's opening opponent, Ospreys, will fancy a return to winning ways tomorrow when they host Southern Kings.
