They probably couldn't have gotten a better dry run for their Champions Cup quarter-final with Munster next week, but Edinburgh will be keen to pick up the league points on offer when they host Leinster at Murrayfield this evening.

There are just eight days to go before this last-eight battle takes place in the Scottish capital, but Richard Cockerill's side will be stretched to their limits if they are to deny last season's Champions Cup and PRO14 champions the win tonight.

A loss at home to Cardiff Blues was followed by an away defeat to Benetton Rugby, and those two setbacks have dented Edinburgh's hopes of a top-three finish in Conference B.

From a position of strength a month ago, Edinburgh are now in fifth place in the conference and they trail third-placed Ulster by seven points with four games remaining.
