It's strange occurrence when a match gets called off like that, but Munster need to take advantage of their time off and head into the Connacht game fresher and raring to go.

The Champions Cup is always top of the agenda in Munster, and it was disappointing to hear they weren't going to play this weekend, but this has provided them with an opportunity.

Munster will now be able to plan their week carefully, as Connacht try to get over their trip to Siberia, where they only arrived back from last Tuesday.

That fact that next week's game is in Thomond Park is another added advantage for Munster, and in a top-of-the-table clash you need any edge possible to get yourself over the winning line.

Even though they may be slightly mentally fatigued Connacht will travel to Limerick brimming with confidence. This is one of the strongest Connacht teams I have seen in years. I just feel Munster have got the break at the right time.

It was supposed to have been a 16-game block, and now that has been broken up. Munster must win, and go top of the Pro12, it's a massive opportunity.
