David Wallace: Peter O'Mahony was dead right to call out Reggie Corrigan
The Munster players and management will be watching Reggie Corrigan's interview of Peter O'Mahony on video around Christmas time, when they are preparing for another crack at Leinster in the Guinness PRO14.
Reggie basically questioned the integrity of the Munster team. It was probably a question that he shouldn't have asked, and he was definitely asking the wrong fella in the wrong situation at the wrong time.
Coming from a former Leinster player, it's never going to sit easy with the Munster captain especially right after losing to them in Aviva Stadium.
Peter was dead right to stick up for his team-mates and say they would never be questioned for their intensity, work-rate or their approach to a match.
I think Peter subsequently said that Munster pride themselves on their work-rate and that's how they want to win matches. They aim to outwork teams and back their fitness.
That will always be part of the psyche. Growing up as a Munster fan, you could always see that coming across from the players on the pitch.
And as a former Munster player, that is what we were always brought up on. So, Peter was dead right to get that point across. I've a feeling Munster will use that in time to come.
