Cork Con aim for sixth AIL crown against old rivals

Cork Con face Clontarf in the All-Ireland League Division 1A final at Aviva Stadium on Sunday.

The Munster club have been champions on five occasions in their history, with their most recent triumph coming just two seasons ago when they defeated Clontarf.

Cork Con were beaten by Lansdowne in last year's final but they bounced back emphatically in the league this season.

They won 15 of their 18 games in Division 1A, which included 12 try bonus points, as they finished nine points ahead of their nearest rivals. It was Clontarf who were runners-up.

Another Cork team are fighting for their lives in Division 1A, when UCC host Old Wesley at the Mardyke tomorrow. UCC were ninth in 1A and their opponents came second in the second tier.
