Briggs on song as Bohs retain their AIL crown
UL Bohemian lifted the Women's All Ireland League trophy for the second year in a row following a 15-0 victory over Old Belvedere at Portlaoise RFC last weekend.
A first-half penalty try for UL Bohs combined with three points from Niamh Briggs gave the defending champions a 10-0 lead at half-time.
Briggs then found Laura Sheehan for the only try of the second half after landing a perfectly-weighted cross-field kick 17 minutes from the final whistle.
Old Belvedere were unable to secure points in the closing stages and it remained UL Bohs' day.
