A dominant second-half performance saw Munster 'A' secure a bonus-point win over the Ospreys Premiership Select in the British & Irish Cup at a chilly Rosbrien last night.

Munster led 7-3 at the interval and their pack took control in the second half, with two tries off rolling mauls securing the win before lock Sean McCarthy crossed for the bonus point try on 70 minutes.

The Welsh side let a number of early opportunities slip, and Munster finally got on the board just before the half-hour with Billy Holland shrugging off an attempted tackle before his offload released Matt D'Arcy who finished well.

Young out-half Bill Johnston added the conversion but Ospreys hit back immediately through a Josh Matavesi penalty.

Mick O'Driscoll's side made the perfect start to the second half as Shane Buckley grounded.

Johnston made it 14-3 but the Ospreys' response was immediate as Ifereimi Boladau barged over from close range.

Another Munster rolling maul careered over the line on 62 minutes with hooker Kevin O'Byrne emerging with the ball and Johnston made it 21-8.

The bonus point was secured with 11 minutes remaining as academy lock McCarthy crossed and Johnston was again on target to make it 28-8.
