Mealamu in doubt for Ireland tests

THE All Blacks have more injury worries after it emerged Keven Mealamu is a major doubt for next month's Tests against Ireland.

The 92-times capped hooker re-injured a troublesome calf two weeks ago and struggled in the extended squad's first training session over the weekend.

"Kevvie is a bit of a worry with that calf, there may be an issue arising there," said coach Steve Hansen. "Clearly if things don't go well we will have to bring in another player."

Wings Corey Jane and Richard Kahui have already been ruled out of the three Test tour. Zac Guildford has replaced Kahui with Hosea Gear or Andre Taylor set to take Jane's place.
