McEntaggart brace seals deal

Centre Ben McEntaggart burst through for two second-half tries to ensure St Patrick's could add this crown to the Fr Godfrey Cup they won last week at Anglesea Road.

Right-wing Hubert Paklak got the ball rolling by speeding into the right corner, only for his opposite number Ignacio Sugi-Davalillo to reply quickly for St Columba's.

Centre Conor Nash was on the shoulder of his out-half Christian Byrne to regain the initiative for St Pat's, with Byrne converting in the 14th minute.

It stayed that way until St Columba's hooker Andrew Brady benefited from a lineout and maul for a try. Fly-half Louis Shiels kicked the equalising conversion to make it level at the break.

Then, McEntaggart took advantage of slack defence to put St Pat's back in front, full-back Brian Conlon provided the fourth, and McEntaggart wrapped it up.
