Connacht's summer Talent Identification Programme culminated in a series of regional games at Tuam RFC.
Invited U-15 and U-16 players formed teams representing Sligo, Westport, Galway and East Connacht. Players who have had a summer of weekly rugby and conditioning training had the opportunity to show their wares and reap the benefits of the off-season training.
The Mayo combined side proved the strongest at U-15, winning both their games with James Corcoran, Ryan Corrigan and Craig McCormack staking a claim for representative honours.
Fresh from their Junior cup run with CBS Roscommon, Creggs duo James Brandon and Cian Gately put in notable performances at U-16 level.
As the players now return to their clubs and schools they will continue to have weekly Monday night skills sessions under the supervision of Connacht Rugby staff. During the season and school holidays they will continue to also represent their regions, with these games vital to their future Connacht careers.
