WATCH: Warren Gatland has last laugh as he turns up to post-match press conference wearing a red clown nose
Not so clownish now, is he?
Warren Gatland will be remembered as a man who led the Lions to a fabulous series victory in Australia in 2013, but securing a draw in New Zealand may go down as the greater achievement in time.
He has led his squad to an impressive, and unexpected record in the Test series of P3 W1 L1 D1 against the All Blacks and comes away from the tour with his reputation enhanced.
The coach will be rightly lauded for his work this year, but has faced stinging criticism at times since the Lions arrived down under.
Ahead of the Lions' game against the Wellington Hurricanes, which ended with the same drawn outcome as the final Test, Gatland was depicted on the front of one newspaper as a clown.
