'Not you anyway!' - Stuart Hogg rips into Conor Murray when asked who is the Lions' hardest tackler
Scotland full-back and 2017 Six Nations Player of the Championship Stuart Hogg has poked fun at Ireland scrum-half Conor Murray's tackling ability in a recent promotional video ahead of the Lions first match against the New Zealand Provincial Barbarians on Saturday.
The Lions will kick off their 2017 tour when they take on the representative side in Whangarei this weekend, in what will be the first of 10 games for the tourists, however, the squad have been able to have a little bit of fun before then even if it has come at Murray's expense.
The Munster scrum-half was joined by Hogg, Elliot Daly and former Lions prop Adam Rhys Jones to answer a series of questions concerning their Lions teammates and the 2017 Six Nations.
When Hogg was asked who was the hardest tackler in the Lions squad, he took one quick glance at Murray before telling the Limerick native: "Not you anyway!"
Murray conceded that he was definitely not the hardest tackler in the Lions squad, although his 80% tackle completion rate in the Six Nations is certainly nothing to be sneezed at.
Hogg named Murray's Munster and Ireland teammate CJ Stander as the hardest tackler in the Lions squad, while Murray did redeem himself when he said that he felt no remorse for denying England a second consecutive Grand Slam after Ireland defeated Eddie Jones' side 13-9 in the final game of the Six Nations back in March.
