The British & Irish Lions players have voted for their player of the series following the Lions 15-15 draw with the All Blacks in Saturday's third and final test in Auckland.

The Lions squad voted for Welsh outside centre Jonathan Davies as their player of the series with the Scarlets midfielder putting in a man of the match display in the third Test draw.

Davies was outstanding defensively making some big defensive stops on Jordie Barrett and Israel Dagg. Davies finished the tour with the fourth most running metres of any Lion (220m) and the third most linebreaks (7).

The 29-year-old becomes the third consecutive Welshman to receive the honour after Leigh Halfpenny was voted the player of the series on the Lions 2013 tour of Australia while Jamie Roberts was named best player on the 2009 tour of South Africa.
