Leo Cullen signs on for another year at Leinster
LEINSTER skipper Leo Cullen has pledged to keep on chasing European glory for at least one more season after postponing retirement to sign on for the 2013/14 campaign.
The only man to captain a team to three Heineken Cup titles, the 35-year-old lock joined fellow international Luke Fitzgerald in pledging his future to Leinster in the immediate future. Fitzgerald signed a new two year deal yesterday.
Having become the first player since Martin Johnson to lead a team to back-to-back Heineken Cup titles last year, Cullen is now chasing a third European crown in a row in the Amlin Challenge Cup.
The only member of Leinster’s current squad who has yet to sort out his future is Brian O’Driscoll who is out of contract in the summer.
It is expected that he will make a decision after the British and Irish Lions tour in Australia.
