'Winning the Champions Cup final in Bilbao last year was best memory'

1. What boots do you wear?

White adidas Predators.

2. What's your pre-training routine?

A coffee, a stretch and given my position on the pitch, a few throws.

3. You're in charge of the after-match tunes, what goes on first?

Maniac 2000!

4. Imagine a world that you're not a rugby player - what's your job?

An electrician.

5. Stranded on a desert island, what three things do you take?

A pen knife, flint and a bottle of whiskey.

6. Which team-mate would you want with you on the island and why?

Seán O'Brien. He can hunt. And he can also do a mean rendition of the Breakfast Roll song.

7. What was your favourite book as a child?

The Argos catalogue.

8. What's your first sporting memory as a player or spectator and what do you remember from it?

Going to the Senior Schools Cup Final in Lansdowne Road with my cousin to watch Blackrock versus Newbridge. Newbridge lost and Leo Cullen was playing number 8 for Blackrock!

9. You have one moment from your career to do over. What is it?

The Champions Cup Final in Bilbao. Loved it.

10. What rugby skill would you most like to possess?

12. What current player in your position do you most admire?

Cody Taylor.

13. Who has been the biggest influence on your rugby career and why?

My dad. He just instilled good values in me like honesty and hard work and I'd like to think that I've carried them with me.

14. What was your first car?

VW Golf - had it for seven years.

15. What sporting event makes your bucket list and why?

The Super Bowl. It's the biggest event in world sport.

16. One minute to go in the Champions Cup final, you're three points down and you have a penalty in front of the posts… what do you do?

I can't be giving tactics away this week...! But I'd say take the points and we go again at the restart.

17. What was the last concert you went to?

Smash Hits!

18. Tell us something interesting about yourself?

I used to show jump when I was growing up.

19. What's your own best memory playing rugby?

Again I'd have to go back to Bilbao last year and winning the Champions Cup.

20. Who'll win the Gallagher Premiership in England and the Top 14 in France?

Exeter or Saracens in England and Racing in France.
