Toulouse will be returning to Dublin this weekend with a point to prove after a disappointing showing in Round 5 of the pool stage at the RDS.

Leinster's bonus-point win on that day put them in control of top spot in the pool with the reward being a home quarter-final.

Since that day in January, the French club have lost just one of their 10 games in domestic and European competition, a 25-10 reverse against Toulon a fortnight ago.

Most recently, they came out on the right side of a 47-44 scoreline in a 10-try thriller played at the home of French Ligue 1 club Toulouse FC.

Toulouse co-head coach Regis Sonnes believes that Clermont were the perfect preparation for their second Irish visit of 2019: "We know what Leinster will be like, we have played them twice this season.

"They will be like Clermont, they will keep going, so in terms of preparing for them this was a good game."

They will have watched on over the last few weeks with interest as Leinster lost twice to Scottish opposition, drew with Benetton and narrowly beat Ulster in the last round of the Champions Cup.
