1. What boots do you wear?

Nike Phantom Visions.

2. What's your pre-training routine?

Usually a good stretch and activation, while deciding on a few things I want to focus on for the training session.

3. You're in charge of the after-match tunes, what goes on first?

Anything by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

4. Imagine a world that you're not a rugby player - what's your job?

I'm studying Business and Legal Studies at the moment in UCD so probably a solicitor.

5. Stranded on a desert island, what three things do you take?

Fishing rod, matches and water.

6. Which team-mate would you want with you on the island and why?

Scott Fardy's vast experience of living in the Australian outback would help us survive.

7. What was your favourite book as a child?

The Cherub books by Robert Muchamore.

8. What's your first sporting memory as a player or spectator and what do you remember from it?

I remember heading down to play mini rugby at the age of five with my dad who helped out with the coaching

9. You have one moment from your career to do over. What is it?

My second Irish cap. Ireland against the All Blacks in the Aviva Stadium.

10. What rugby skill would you most like to possess?

I'd love to be able to carry, fend and offload like James Lowe.

11. Favourite boxset/TV series?

'Entourage'.

12. What current player in your position do you most admire?

Jonathan Davies.

13. Who has been the biggest influence on your rugby career and why?

My family. I wouldn't be where I am today without their support.

14 What was your first car?

Nissan Micra.

15. What sporting event makes your bucket list and why?

The All-Ireland football final . . . I like to see the Dubs win!

16. One minute to go in the Champions Cup final, you're three points down and you have a penalty in front of the posts… what do you do?

Take the three points and score again in the last 40 seconds

17. What was the last concert you went to?

Does Electric Picnic count?

18. Tell us something interesting about yourself.

I have a nut allergy.

19. What's your own best memory playing rugby?

Last season really. The Grand Slam in Twickenham, the Champions Cup in Bilbao and finishing off with the PRO14 in front of our own supporters in Dublin.

20. Who'll win the Gallagher Premiership in England and the Top 14 in France?

Exeter Chiefs and Racing 92.
