Tag Rugby team Salmo Eagles 'Tree-ted' to new jerseys!
The DLSP Eagles are a Tag Rugby team made up of players with additional needs. The team are a big part of De La Salle Palmerston Rugby Club, a club with over a hundred years of experience in developing players.
The primary focus of playing tag rugby is to get players with additional needs to appreciate the game of rugby, develop ball handling and spatial awareness, helping to develop skills and fitness to improve their daily lives.
The coaching team are made up of dedicated volunteers with a wide range of skills and experience, including rugby coaches, players, and learning disability professionals, all of whom are Garda vetted.
The Salmo Eagles train on Sunday morning's at 12 noon in Kirwan Park, Kilternan, between Stepaside and Enniskerry.
We also arrange fixtures with other teams in Dublin and further afield, and the team have regularly appeared at half time during Leinster Rugby matches in the RDS as well as the Aviva Stadium!
