Sean Cronin's season comes to a premature end

Leinster coach Matt O'Connor will be without hooker Sean Cronin for the final two games of the Guinness PRO12 season.

The Irish international this afternoon undergone surgery to repair damage to a tendon in his shoulder.

Leinster confirmed that the operation went "well" but will miss the final two games against Treviso and Edinburgh in the Guinness PRO12.

The expected rehabilitation period is 12 weeks.
