Schools bring shine to Terenure RFC Newsdesk Newsdesk

The sun wasn't quite shining in Terenure Rugby Club on Tuesday but this did not dampen the spirits of 150 sixth classers.

Boys and girls from St Josephs , Ballyroan and Holy Rosary arrived in Lakelands with great excitement for this Tag Rugby Blitz.

The kids must have been inspired by Ireland's Men and Women's Six Nations victories on the weekend, as there was some fantastic rugby on display.

The teachers from the three schools who did a fantastic job in organising transport for the kids down to the club. I think they would agree that it was worth the trouble for the brilliant (rugby filled) day out experienced by all.

Billy Phelan, Leinster Rugby CRO for the area, also remarked that it was great to see so many kids enjoying themselves and putting into practice what they had learned over the past few months. He also thanked Patrick Thornton, Leinster Rugby CCRO for Terenure College RFC, on organising and the club for hosting such a great morning in there.
