Clontarf recorded their first Division 3 Women's League triumph over Arklow when claiming a 34-5 victory over the Wicklow side at home on Sunday.
Clontarf were first to put points on the board 15 minutes in with a try by centre Maeve McQuillan, converted by winger Heather Byrne.
Five minutes later winger Gráinne Kennedy put the home side 12 points to the good, and the score remained 12-0 at half time.
Clontarf were quick to add to their lead three minutes into the second half with a try by loosehead prop Aoife O'Donoghue.
Centre Fiona Colfer widened the gap within two minutes with the home side's fourth try. Arklow fought back and Sarah Duffy's try 15 minutes into the second half brought the score to 22-5.
The Dublin team responded immediately with a further try by fly-half Angela Dwane, converted again by Byrne.
With just five minutes to go scrum-half Caroline McKenna added a sixth try to Clontarf's haul.
There are still a number of league games to play, followed by the cup and both teams are still actively recruiting new players.
