Maynooth University, in partnership with MU Barnhall RFC, are delighted to announce that, from the 2017-18 season onwards, rugby scholarships will be available for female players.

It will be designed to provide an opportunity for high-performing female school leavers to continue their rugby development and align that to their academic ambitions.

Maynooth University offer a well-rounded programme which will encompass the true meaning of the student athlete. Players will be professionally trained on the pitch and receive tailored strength and conditioning, where strength, functional movement and recovery will be expertly delivered.

The university's ambition is to produce future representative players as well as providing a pathway for the fantastic development of MU Barnhall female youth team players and other ambitious school leavers.

Applications are open online and close April 1.
