Barry Daly will miss the next six weeks or more due to syndesmosis.

It puts in serious doubt his ability to make the back-to-back Champions Cup matches against Exeter Chiefs in December.

The left wing has been electrifying this season as Leinster’s leading try-scorer in the PRO14 League on four tries from his four matches.

There was also a magnificent finish for Leinster’s bonus-point fourth try against Montpellier.

The 25 year-old rolled his ankle early into the second-half against Glasgow at Scotstoun and was quickly removed from the pitch.

He joins Josh van der Flier in rehabilitation of the same injury as they both work their way back, knowing the November internationals are out of their grasp.

In fact, there is strong suspicion that Daly would have been called into the Ireland squad to prepare for South Africa, Fiji and Argentina.

Afterall, Adam Byrne and Dave Kearney have made the cut even though they were behind Daly in the queue at Leinster.
