The Leinster 'A' team face the Connacht Eagles next Thursday, November 5, in Donnybrook (5.00pm kick-off) as they look to complete an Inter-provincial clean sweep.

With Girvan Dempsey stepping away from his role as Academy Manager and Leinster 'A' team head coach to take up a position with the senior team, Hugh Hogan and Shaun Berne have taken up the mantle and have led the team to two wins over Munster 'A' and Ulster Ravens.

In their first game against Munster 'A', Leinster nearly blew a 22-3 second-half lead as Munster came charging back in Donnybrook.

Tries from Billy Dardis, Mick McGrath and Tom Denton plus kicks from Tom Daly had the Leinster team on course for a comfortable win but a stirring last 30 minutes from the Munster men had the home team hanging on at the very end.

It was a different story a couple of weeks later as Ulster were dispatched ruthlessly in the second half in Ballynahinch as Leinster 'A' ran home 7-37 winners.

The away team didn't have it all their own way as despite an early Adam Byrne try and a second from Tom Farrell, they only led 7-13 at half-time, having conceded a penalty try.

However, they addressed some concerns at half-time and put in a much improved performance in the second period with Tom Farrell getting a second try, while Darragh Fanning, Joey Carbery and finally Charlie Rock also crossed the whitewash.

All their attention now turns to Connacht next Thursday before they then focus on Rotherham Titans in the first round of the British & Irish Cup which takes place on November 14 and is away from home.
