Leinster Rugby in partnership with SDCC are running the inaugural Girls South Dublin Cup on March 11 in Tallaght Stadium.

Girls rugby has been on the rise in the South Dublin area, with the number of girls playing the sport increasing all the time.

This competition in the stadium is a way of showcasing the hard work and commitment made by all involved in girls rugby across the county.

A number of schools will take part in what is expected to be a fiercely competitive competition.

The excitement is building already for what is going to be a great day for all involved.

Leinster Rugby's South Dublin County Council CRO Ken Moore said: "Leinster Rugby has always been keen to use Tallaght Stadium as much as possible. Seeing as girls rugby has been going from strength to strength in the area, the South Dublin Cup is a good way of further building on the good work going on in the local schools."
