Donnybrook was the venue for the finals day of the Dublin City Cup in both the U-15 and U-17 competition in which players from non-rugby playing schools within the DCC region to took centre stage.
The action kicked off on the main pitch with the final of the U-15 competition that saw St Kevin's, Ballygall Road take on St David's, Artane in an epic encounter.
In the end, two tries for St David's proved the difference for victory.
The appetite was certainly whetted after an exhilarating curtain raiser to the U-17 final which saw the older St David's boys take on St Vincent's of Glasnevin, a school only introduced to the game three years ago.
The Artane boys went in as favourites and showed as much by racing into a 14 point lead before pulling away to win 41-7 for a double.
