Arklow Rugby has always provided a social outlet for many couples to meet, greet and in some cases subsequently marry.

Whether this has been in the bar after a game or maybe the occasional club dinner dance, the point whereupon boy gets tired of male company and searches out a female companion always emerged at some point of every club evening and in every club, Arklow is no different.

Last Bank Holiday weekend Arklow Rugby Club took a more formal approach to the great tradition of match making with The Arklow Rugby Club Take Me Out (TMO) extravaganza.

On the evening several of our ladies team willingly put themselves on the line and with seven carefully chosen of the club men had the opportunity to choose their partner from a selection of the club's female members.

Their selection was not easy and some individuals (male and female) were not best pleased but it was all in the name of good fun and raising funds for the club.

The TMO night was a great success and it was a perfect opportunity for new members and parents of the youths and minis within the club to meet and get to know each other of the pitch.

Well done to all concerned and thank you to all those that contributed and took part

And who knows the next Mr. and Mrs. may have taken their first fruitful steps on that very same night.
