Leinster man Heaslip hints at future in land of Bleus
Jamie Heaslip is now one of the best in the world so IRFU officials and Leinster bigwigs may have choked on their cornflakes when the latest issue of Rugby World popped through their letter boxes recently.
"I'd like to play abroad at some stage," said the storming No 8 star. "I don't know where but France might be interesting. Or some Super 15 stuff. I'd like a crack at that.
"I'd like to mix it up. I'd find it hard to play for another team in Ireland because I'm Leinster through and through. I want to experience things, go somewhere for a season? I'd be up for that."
Irish supporters probably shouldn't be too alarmed -- if such a sabbatical came after the 2011 World Cup, a break from Ireland could arguably be of huge benefit in challenging one of the game's enigmatic spirits.
