Next Sunday (January 30) the seventh annual Kieran Burke Perpetual Trophy U-7 Rugby Festival will take place at Kirwan Park, Kilternan.
The hugely popular tournament was set up in honour of one of De La Salle Palmerston's youngest and most enthusiastic players Kieran Burke, who died of leukaemia in 2004 aged just six.
Since the first tournament was held in January 2005 it has grown into the largest U-7 sporting event in the country, with over a thousand children participating last year.
It is a non-profit event, with proceeds or donations on the day go to the Children's Cancer Fund at Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin.
