Keeshan finds range to end St Mary's run
All-Ireland League round-up
Dolphin are clearly a force to be reckoned with on home turf -- they have now beaten all of the top three teams in Division 1A at Musgrave Park.
St Mary's, bidding to extend an eight-match unbeaten run, became their latest victims as they went down 12-8.
Once again, their pack and outstanding goalkicking from out-half Barry Keeshan laid the foundations for Dolphin's victory. Keeshan was responsible for all of the points, with three penalties and a drop goal.
Cork Constitution demolished lowly Blackrock College 43-6 at Temple Hill. They led by only 7-6 at the interval, but ran riot in the second half, with centres Scott Deasy and Ivan Dineen securing two tries each.
Garryowen also picked up a bonus point, scoring five tries in a 38-11 win over an injury-hit Lansdowne outfit at Dooradoyle.
Belfast Harlequins beat Dungannon 44-17 at Stevenson Park to stay on top of Division 1B. The scored six tries, with man of the match Neil McComb getting two. Ballymena remain second, a point behind the leaders, after beating Galwegians 27-22 at Crowley Park. They left it late, with an injury-time try from John Andrew giving them their bonus-point victory.
The biggest shock of the day came at the Mardyke where bottom-of-the-table UCC came from behind to beat title contenders Ballynahinch 13-12.
Even so, the students remain five points adrift of second-from-bottom Bruff, who recorded a vital 27-10 home victory over fellow strugglers UCD.
