Jerry Flannery to bide time on return

"It was a 1.5 tear. Three is the worst and one is the least. It's a minor tear, but I suppose those calves are common in Munster, with Jerry Flannery, so the danger is trying to come back too soon. If you have a mishap, you're back to square one.

"I think there is all different ways of looking at it; you could be a small bit fresher, it's what angle you take on it, but I'd be thinking I've work to make up."

Meanwhile, Ireland's World Cup pool opponents Australia have suffered a big injury blow with the news that key prop Benn Robinson has been ruled out of the tournament with an anterior cruciate ligament tear.
