Watch - Devin Toner 'lives out some childhood dreams' with impressive slam dunk at the Chicago Bulls training facility Newsdesk Newsdesk

Devin Toner has enjoyed a stellar career as a professional rugby player but the giant second row reminded everyone yesterday that he has many talents that could translate to other sports.

Standing at a huge 6 ft 10, the Leinster and Ireland lock is a key lineout target for his teams but he put his height to good use on the basketball court during some down time with the Ireland squad in Chicago.

Joe Schmidt's men are currently preparing for their clash with the All Blacks in Soldier Field on Saturday, but took a trip to the Chicago Bulls training facility during an afternoon off.

Unsurprisingly for a man of his size, Toner tried his hand at dunking, and while he might not win any slam dunk contests, the second row was still able to get enough elevation to force the ball down through the hoop.

Toner then posted a brilliant picture on Instagram, showing his followers that his impressive basket fulfilled a long-held childhood dream.

Just got sent this from @middlintoner. Living out some childhood dreams today!
