Wallabies call up Jake Gordon as cover for the stricken Will Genia
Australia have called up scrum-half Jake Gordon as injury cover for Will Genia for the third Test against Ireland.
Genia was forced off with a broken arm after a clash with Cian Healy in the 27th minute of Saturday's 26-21 defeat to the Irish in Melbourne that tied the series at 1-1.
The 30-year-old playmaker had surgery on the injury on Sunday and will be sidelined for six weeks.
Cheika was unhappy with the incident involving Healy that led to the defeat, but he said the Wallabies would not pursue disciplinary action against the Ireland prop.
"I'd rather look at ourselves. No excuses, mate," he said.
"We gave away too many penalties, the things we could control we didn't control and that led to losing.
"We were playing against a very good team and that led to losing."
Nick Phipps is likely to come into the starting line-up for the series decider in Sydney.
