Well this is one way to make a bad season considerably worse.

The Western Force are enduring a nightmare Super Rugby campaign, currently languishing at the bottom of the ten-team Australasian group with just two wins from 13 games.

With just two fixtures remaining, caretaker coach David Wessels undoubtedly hoped that the team's senior players would help rally the squad for a final push in order to finish the year on a positive note.

It is safe to say that the team's Wallaby internationals did exactly the opposite.

According to the Australian Telegraph, Australia stars Dane Haylett-Petty, Adam Coleman and Pek Cowan were involved in chaotic scenes at the team hotel in South Africa last weekend.

Haylett-Petty reportedly broke a vase in the lobby after 'play-fighting' with his brother and team-mate, Ross, while an unnamed drunken player apparently urinated in the hallway outside his room after getting locked out.

After announcing their team for the penultimate game of the season, the Western Force also released a statement that referred to the incident.

“Luke Morahan will captain the side after Pek Cowan and Dane Haylett-Petty were deemed to have breached the club’s leadership standards while on tour in South Africa”.
