Meet Ireland's biggest fan - the teenager who travelled to Dublin in the early hours to meet her heroes
The Irish players arrived back in Dublin airport when most of the country was asleep this morning - but that did not stop one avid fan travelling up from Roscommon on her own to meet her heroes.
Joe Schmidt and the team touched down in Dublin at 5.45am - less than 48 hours after securing a historic 40-29 win over the All Blacks.
For 17-year-old Rebecca Compton, it was an opportunity she was not going to miss as she got a bus up to Dublin from the west.
"I didn't know whether they were going to be here at half 5 or quarter to 10 but I was going to be here either way," she told Independent.ie.
"I didn't get to go to Chicago so I wanted to show my support for the team.
"The fact that I was able to be right in front of them was amazing," she added.
