Joe Schmidt's Ireland rise to third in the world rankings without kicking a ball
Back-to-back draws with Australia and their 57-0 drubbing at the hands of the All Blacks has allowed Ireland to leapfrog South Africa in the latest world rankings.
New Zealand top the rankings after claiming the Rugby Championship title on Saturday with their victory over the Pumas.
Argentina remain in 10th position despite losing all five of their game in the competition without earning a bonus point.
Australia stay fifth but with an improved rating of 84.66 points.
Six Nations champions England, who were denied a a Grand Slam in Dublin in March, remain second in the standings.
