Ireland's opening game of the upcoming autumn internationals against Italy will be televised on eir Sport, it has been confirmed.

Joe Schmidt's team face the Azzurri, Argentina, the All Blacks and USA in a busy four-match schedule, with the first game coming against Conor O'Shea's side at Soldier Field in Chicago on November 3.

The match will mark the two-year anniversary of one of Irish rugby's greatest moments, when Schmidt's side defeated the All Blacks for the first time ever in Chicago.

RTÉ have the rights to Ireland's November internationals but eir have snapped up the additional fixture against Italy, which takes place outside the three-week test window.

Coverage gets underway on eir Sport 2 at 7.30pm on November 3, and the game kicks off at 8pm.
