France to jettison Guy Noves ahead of Six Nations and replace him with experienced international head coach
Guys Noves tenure as France head coach appears to be coming to an end, according to reports in the French media.
Le Parisien is reporting that the 63-year-old will be sacked before the Six Nations begins to be replaced by Jacques Brunel.
Noves has steered Les Bleus to just seven victories in 21 Tests, a run of results that have seen France tumble to ninth in the world rankings.
Brunel, who acted as Italian coach from 2011 and 2016, is currently in charge of Bordeaux-Begles but has been identified by Bernard Laporte as the man to reinvigorate the national side.
An announcement is expected in the middle of next week.
France begin their Six Nations campaign against Ireland at the Stade de France on February 3.
