The dates and venues have been confirmed for Ireland’s three-test tour of South Africa next June.

The South African Rugby Union announced today that Ireland will play the Springboks on three consecutive Saturdays from June 11, across as many venues.

The first clash will take place at DHL Newlands in Cape Town. Seven days later Joe Schmidt’s charges will take on the World Cup bronze medallists at Emirates Airline Park, Johannesburg, before the series concludes on Saturday 25 in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Port Elizabeth.

Ireland are yet to win a test on South African soil, and last toured there in 2004, when they lost the series 2-0.
