Historic first as Junior Cup final is all-Tipperary affair
Clanwilliam and Clonmel will meet in Musgrave Park this Sunday in the first all-Tipperary Munster Junior Cup final since the competition's inception (kick-off 2.30).
Clanwilliam FC will be vying for their second title, which they last claimed back in 1947, while their Tipperary rivals, Clonmel RFC are seeking their first.
The semi-finals last Sunday saw Clanwilliam claim a 16-10 home victory over first division side Clonakilty, while the Clonmel outfit defeated UL Bohemian 20-10 at Annacotty.
The cup, won last season by Garryowen, was presented in 1909 by former Ireland international Jack MacAuley under the auspices of Garryowen Football Club.
