Heineken Cup - Pool 3 wrap

Talking point

Saracens heaped further misery on Zebre as they condemned the hapless Italian side to their fourth straight defeat of the pool.

Saracens' nine-try bonus point win drew them level on points with Toulouse, who bounced back from last week's shock defeat to Connacht.

The top two sides meet in the second weekend of January, with the winner likely to finish the pool on top.

As Toulouse and Saracens both have 15 points, it seems increasingly likely that one of the two best runners up spots will come from Pool three.

Connacht halted

It was always going to be a tough ask for Connacht to repeat last weekend's victory over a Toulouse side that were clearly hurting.

The flu virus which wreaked havoc on Connacht's preparation didn't at all help matters but Pat Lam's side must carry the confidence from their win in France into the Pro12 over the Christmas period.

Numbers game

0Zebre along with fellow Italian strugglers Treviso are the only sides in the tournament without a single point after four games.
