Hanrahan back as Munster 'A' look to tighten grip on pool

British and Irish Cup

Munster 'A' v Rotherham Titans, Musgrave Park, 6.30

AFTER his late withdrawal before last week's win over the Titans to cover for the senior squad, JJ Hanrahan is back in Munster 'A' action tonight as the defending champions look to cement their grip on Pool 7.

Munster's win against the same opposition last weekend propelled them to the top of the table and while coach Ian Costello has made five changes, they still boast a strong side.

Johne Murphy replaces the injured Denis Hurley at full-back while former Titan Sean Dougal starts at openside as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

Former Irish underage international James McKinney starts at 10 for the Championship side, but they look to have too much to do in Cork.

Verdict: Munster

MUNSTER – J Murphy; L O'Dea, D Barnes, I Dineen, R O'Mahony; JJ Hanrahan, C Sheridan; J Cronin, S Henry (capt), J Ryan; D Foley, I Nagle; B Hayes, S Dougall, B O'Mahony. Reps: D Casey, A Cotter, P Donnellan, R Murphy, B Slater, S Deasy, D Moroney.
