Watch: Nigel Owens lays down the law after calling all 30 Munster and Glasgow players in for stern lecture Newsdesk Newsdesk

Nigel Owens' interactions with players have gone viral numerous times during his career, but the Welsh referee broke new ground last night.

Glasgow's home clash with Munster got off to a physical start at Scotstoun, with both sets of players giving away penalties and getting involved with each other after the whistle.

Eventually Owens had enough, demanding both captains call in all 30 players for a blunt warning.

"That is totally unacceptable, is that clear?," Owens said.

"If I have to deal with any issues like this again, people are going to be not playing 80 minutes in this game, or whatever minutes are left. Is that clear?

"Now get on and play rugby. I'm going to go back for the penalty for a no-arms tackle, and it is just a penalty. This is the last warning to you all."

It was a tough night for Munster, who went down 37-10 to Glasgow for their first loss of the campaign.
