WATCH - Johnny Sexton exonerates 'immense' Garry Ringrose for embarrassing first half blunder
Leinster’s man of the match Jonathan Sexton claimed there is more to come from his side as they face into a Champions Cup double header following an easy 25-14 win against Munster at the Aviva Stadium.
“These were the games I missed most when I was away for a couple of years. It was a great day for us and thanks to the fans for turning up in huge numbers.
“We’re on an upward curve but we’re not where we need to be for Europe yet and we need to push on now next week. Stuart Lancaster has given us a fresh pair of eyes in defence and it has really helped us.
“If they score that try in the second-half, it is a different gamer, we have to chase the game so we are happy to get the win. We kicked through a bit, it was a game of chess with Simon Zebo and it nearly paid off once or twice.”
And he exonerated midfield colleague Garry Ringrose who fluffed an easy try-scoring chance in the first-half.
"Garry Ringrose has been immense this season, it is a pleasure to play with him and he will keep his feet on the ground.”
