Warriors' Hogg boost

Glasgow Warriors' Stuart Hogg
Glasgow Warriors' Stuart Hogg

Glasgow Warriors have been boosted by news Lions full-back Stuart Hogg will be back from injury for their clash with Leinster on Saturday.

The Scotland star has not played since he broke his cheekbone in a freak accident involving Conor Murray during June's tour of New Zealand, but is back in contention for the pivotal Pool 3 meeting with the Irish province.

"Hoggy is available for selection. That is the big one I guess," assistant coach Jason O'Halloran said.

"It is great. He has great energy and enthusiasm. Ruaridh (Jackson) has played outstandingly in his absence but we felt we needed to get Hoggy in there this weekend.

"We would have liked to have brought him off the bench against Exeter. He has done well in training and we are looking at him to be involved this weekend."
