He had planned on making a mark elsewhere this month but this evening Andrew Trimble will become Ulster's most capped player in history when they entertain Treviso.

It will scant consolation for being left out of Joe Schmidt's World Cup squad but the 30-year old will play his 190th game for Ulster this evening and pass Paddy Wallace on the roll of honour.

"It's going to be a very special night for me. When I started my career I wouldn't have dreamed that I would get to 190 appearances for Ulster. Every game has been unbelievable," he said.

There are four changes from the Ulster side that lost 22-12 away to Scarlets last time out.

Dan Tuohy starts instead of Franco van der Merwe in the second-row, Robbie Diack comes in at blindside, with Roger Wilson reverting to No 8 and Nick Williams losing out. Willie Faloon makes way for Sean Reidy at openside.

Trimble's inclusion in the backline is the only change in personnel there, with Craig Gilroy switching to the left wing from the right and Rory Scholes missing out.
