Leinster will have the distinction of playing the first PRO 14 game in South Africa, with Leo Cullen's men set to travel to Port Elizabeth in Round 3 to take on the Southern Kings.

Leinster will play a two-match tour in South Africa early on in the season, first taking on the Kings on Saturday September 16 at 14.15 in Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, with a fixture against the Cheetahs scheduled for the following Friday in Bloemfontein's Toyota Stadium at 20.00.

Ulster will take part in the first ever fixture involving a South African side in the PRO 14, as they host the Cheetahs on the opening night (September 1) in Kingspan Stadium.

Munster get their season underway that same night against Treviso at Irish Independent Park, while Leinster visit the Dragons the following day. Connacht will renew their rivalry with Glasgow at The Sportsgrounds in their opening game, also on September 2.

Leinster's first derby match with Munster will take place at the Aviva Stadium at 2pm on Saturday October 7, just before the opening two rounds of the Champions Cup, with the return fixture scheduled for St Stephen's Day at Thomond Park.

The provisional fixture list can be found here.
