Payne looks to add 'vital experience'
JARED Payne makes his Ulster debut against Pro12 table-toppers Cardiff Blues at Ravenhill tonight after sorting out registration problems, WRITES RUAIDHRI O'CONNOR.
The 25-year-old former Auckland Blue starts at full-back in place of Adam D'Arcy.
"I feel that I can bring a bit of experience which is vital," said Payne. "I've been around a few unions and provinces and gained a lot of knowledge about decision making and enthusiasm."
Lock Lewis Stevenson, loose-head Declan Fitzpatrick and No 8 Robbie Diack also come into the side, with Willie Faloon dropping out of the squad.
Ulster are third in the table on eight points; Cardiff are top on 10 after bonus-point victories over Treviso and Edinburgh.
Verdict: Home win.
